Viewing as another user
See and use Mitratech Comp exactly as one of your members can, to check what they see or to help them with a task. You need the System Admin and your own password.
Start viewing as someone
Section titled “Start viewing as someone”- Go to Settings → Workspace → Members.
- Select View as this member on their row.
- In View as their name, enter your password in Confirm your password.
- Select Start viewing as.
You land on their Home. A Viewing as banner with their name stays on screen the whole time, and shows how many minutes are left.
Select the banner, then Exit. You’re back in your own account, with no need to sign in again.
A session lasts up to 90 minutes and ends on its own after that. To keep going, start a new one.
Who you can view as
Section titled “Who you can view as”You can view as any member except the , yourself, or someone whose access is Deactivated. That includes someone who hasn’t signed in yet: viewing as a Staged or Invited member leaves them exactly as they were.
How it’s recorded
Section titled “How it’s recorded”Everything you do while viewing as someone is recorded on the against both of you: you, and the member you were viewing as. The Auth events tab shows when you started and when you stopped. See Reviewing the audit trail.
If your workspace signs in through WCP Hub
Section titled “If your workspace signs in through WCP Hub”A workspace on WCP Hub has no View as this member control, because there is no password to confirm it with. Settings → Workspace → Members shows View as is done by Mitratech support instead. Ask Mitratech support to view as the member from the platform console; the session is recorded on the audit trail’s Auth events tab, naming the Mitratech support person who started it and the member they viewed as. Your own name doesn’t appear, because you didn’t start the session. See Mitratech Comp on WCP Hub.
