Resetting your password

Choose a new password for your sign-in, whether you’ve forgotten the old one or just want a new one, by having a reset code emailed to you. You need your workspace’s address and access to the email you sign in with.

  1. On your workspace’s sign-in page, select Forgot password?.
  2. On Forgot Password, enter your Email and select Send Reset Code.
  3. On Reset Password, your email is already filled in. Type the six-digit Reset Code from the email.
  4. Enter your New Password, then type it again in Confirm New Password.
  5. Select Reset Password.

You’re returned to sign in, with a note that your password has been updated. Your old password stops working at once, and you’re signed out everywhere you were signed in.

  • A reset code lasts one hour. If yours has expired, the page says so and offers Request a new code, which takes you back to ask for another.
  • After five wrong codes the code stops working. Ask for a new one and it arrives straight away.
  • We send at most five codes an hour, and no more than one a minute while your code is still usable. Ask sooner and the page answers as usual, but no new email is sent, so use the code you already have.
  • After ten wrong codes in an hour, counting every code you were sent, resetting is paused for the rest of that hour and even the right code is refused. Wait an hour, then ask for a new code.
  • After 20 wrong codes in all, password reset is locked until an administrator unlocks it. Every code is refused, the right one included, and asking for a new code sends none. We email you to say reset is locked. You can still sign in with your password or as usual. To reset your password, ask a System Admin of your workspace to unlock it, then ask for a new code. If you’re the , or your workspace’s only System Admin, contact Mitratech support instead.
  • A wrong code always gets the same answer, so the page doesn’t say which of these has happened.

As you type a new password, a checklist shows each rule as you meet it:

  • At least 8 characters
  • An uppercase letter
  • A lowercase letter
  • A number
  • A special character

A password can also be no more than 72 characters, and accented letters and emoji count as more than one.

A reset changes your password in one workspace. If you use the same email address in more than one workspace, each keeps its own password.

If your sign-in is managed by your company’s identity provider, your password belongs to that provider, so change it there.

If your workspace signs in through WCP Hub

Section titled “If your workspace signs in through WCP Hub”

A workspace on WCP Hub holds no passwords, so there is nothing to reset in it. Forgot password? and the reset pages send you to Hub’s sign-in, and a reset code can’t be used in the workspace. Reset or change your password in Hub: in your profile menu, select Profile to open your Hub profile. See Mitratech Comp on WCP Hub.
