Cancelling a cycle
Stop a launched cycle that should not carry on. You need the System Admin or Total Rewards Admin , and a cycle whose status is Active — launched and not yet .
Cancelling is permanent. A cancelled cycle can never be relaunched or resumed, so a correction after this point is a new cycle — see Creating a cycle.
Cancel it
Section titled “Cancel it”- Open the cycle.
- Open the ⋯ menu in the cycle’s header and select Cancel cycle.
- Read the dialog: the cycle’s , recommendations and budgets are kept exactly as they stand, and nothing is deleted.
- Select Cancel cycle to confirm, or Keep this cycle to leave it running.
A message confirms the cycle is cancelled and its data is retained.
What cancelling does
Section titled “What cancelling does”- The status becomes Cancelled, and the cycle stays at the phase it had reached, so the phase stepper still shows where it stopped. Cycles lists it under Closed, marked Cancelled.
- Everything stops. Configuration edits, worksheet edits, approvals, the and advancing the phase no longer work, and nothing offers to relaunch the cycle. Its page reads This cycle is cancelled.
- Everything is kept. Worksheets, approvals and results stay open to read. Each manager’s worksheet reads This cycle has been cancelled and is read-only, whatever its own status shows.
- It is recorded on the , with who cancelled it and when.
Cancelling sends no notification, so tell your managers and approvers yourself.
What cannot be cancelled
Section titled “What cannot be cancelled”Cancel cycle appears only on an active cycle. A cycle still in setup has not launched, so its ⋯ menu offers Delete cycle instead — see Creating a cycle. A finalized cycle is closed for good.
