Customizing workspace settings and branding

Change your workspace’s name, its address, its logo and its brand colour, turn the assistant on or off for everyone, or close the workspace for good. You need the System Admin ; a Total Rewards Admin can change the logo and see the assistant switch, but not change it.

The first four are on Settings → Workspace → General, and so is the Assistant card. The name, the brand colour and the address are saved together: change any of them, then select Save once. Save is available once something has changed, and stays off while the isn’t one you can use. Cancel puts back what was saved. While you have unsaved changes, Unsaved changes shows beside the buttons, and leaving the page asks you to confirm. The logo is separate: it saves as soon as you choose Save Logo, and doesn’t affect changes you haven’t saved yet.

When the changes are saved, a Workspace settings saved message appears and Unsaved changes goes away.

Edit Account name, then select Save.

  1. Select Upload Logo, or Change Logo if the workspace already has one.
  2. Choose an image at least 200 × 200 pixels, then crop and zoom it to fit.
  3. Select Save Logo.

Your logo becomes the icon in your team’s browser tab. To take it away, select Remove Logo.

Choose a Brand color, then select Save. It becomes the accent colour of Mitratech Comp for everyone in your workspace, from the next page they load.

  1. Edit Workspace address and select Save.
  2. Read the confirmation, then select Change address. Select Cancel instead and nothing is saved, including the name and brand colour you changed with it; your changes stay on the page.

Your workspace moves to its new address straight away. Links to the old address stop working, and you’re signed out and sign in again on the new one, so tell your team the new address before you change it. An address is 3 to 63 lowercase letters, numbers or hyphens, and one another workspace already uses isn’t available.

The name and brand colour are saved first, then the address. If the address can’t be saved, for example because someone has just taken it, a message says The workspace address did not save and why, the name and brand colour stay saved, and the address stays on the page, unsaved, so you can try another.

The Assistant card is a switch for the assistant that sits beside every page. It’s on until you turn it off, and it explains numbers people can already see, as them. It never changes anything.

  1. Turn off Assistant.
  2. Read the confirmation, then select Turn off.

Nobody in the workspace, System Admins included, can ask the assistant while it’s off. The Ask the assistant button and its keyboard shortcut are hidden for everyone, and the math on each number still opens on hover. This card is where you turn it back on. Turning the switch back on takes effect at once, with no confirmation, and the button comes back for each person as soon as they move to another page or return to the tab. The switch saves by itself and isn’t part of the page’s unsaved changes. A Total Rewards Admin sees the switch but can’t change it; it says Only a System Admin can change this.

To turn the assistant off for one role and leave it on for the rest, see Understanding roles.

Every change on this page is recorded on the ’s Account activity tab. See Reviewing the audit trail.

A workspace closes when its last member deletes their own account, and everything in it is deleted with them: every employee record and its compensation history, departments, cycles, , , , the audit history, and the workspace’s address.

  1. From your profile menu, open Profile.
  2. Under Danger Zone, select Delete Account, then I understand, continue.
  3. Type DELETE in Type “DELETE” to confirm, and select Permanently delete my account.

This can’t be undone. If you’re the and other members remain, transfer ownership before you delete your account.
