Reviewing the audit trail

Read who changed what in your workspace, and when, and export it for an auditor or reviewer. You need the System Admin or Total Rewards Admin .

In the sidebar, select Audit log. The page has four tabs, and opens on Org changes.

TabWhat it records
Org changesChanges to people, departments, and visibility settings.
Account activityChanges to the workspace itself: members and their roles, invitations, its settings, address and branding, and , and ownership.
Comp cyclesChanges to cycles, , budget allocations and , including each cycle’s launch and each worksheet’s submission, approval or return.
Auth eventsSign-ins and failed sign-ins, password resets, sign-outs, , , and connections.

Entries are listed newest first; Load more shows older ones. Each says what happened and to what, who did it, when, and from which IP address. A change lists each field it touched with its value before and after, and a long list folds away behind Show all until you open it.

Entries are never edited or deleted, so the trail reads the same next year as it does today. When a System Admin acts while viewing as another member, the entry names both of them. See Viewing as another user.

Auth events are kept for 400 days. Everything on the other three tabs is kept for the life of the workspace.

On Org changes, the filter above the list narrows it to People, Departments, Pay bands or Visibility settings. On Comp cycles, it narrows the list to Cycles, Worksheets, Budget allocations or Award letters.

To read one person’s history, open their profile under People: its History tab lists the same entries for them alone.

On Org changes and Account activity, Export CSV downloads audit-log.csv. It follows the filter you’ve set, and holds one line per changed field, with these columns: entity, action, field, before, after, actor, impersonator, IP address, and when it happened.

If your history is too large to export in one file, the export says so. Narrow it with a filter and export again.
